"Live Tapes" двойной "живой" альбом, сделаный на материале последнего турне Barclay James Harvest, в котором участвовал Wooly Wolstenholme, является одним из лучших концертных альбомов, жанра прогрессивного рока. Хотя не столь захватывающий как Genesis Live или столь же величественный как Yessongs, но он представляет группу в превосходной форме, исполняющую и красиво гармонирующую многие из их лучших песен, среди них "Child of the Universe," "Rock and Roll Star," "Poor Man's Moody Blues," "For No One," and "Mockingbird" (последняя никогда более не звучала так красиво). Все композиции предстают значительно лучше, чем их оригинальные студийные образцы. Гитара Lees и клавишные инструменты Wolstenholme сотрудничают очень слажено на сцене и в песнях. Звук хороший, хотя нет никакой реальной аудитории "присутствия", кроме, как между песнями. Британская импортная версия 2006 года содержит несколько бонус-треков: "The World Goes On," "Medicine Man," и "Hymn for the Children."
