Sam Taylor (Сэм Л. Тейлор) (12 июля 1916 г. г. Лексингтон, штат Теннесси -. 5 октября 1990) , best known as the tenor saxophonist Sam "The Man" Taylor, was an American jazz and blues player, whose honking style set the standard for tenor sax solos in both rock and roll and rhythm and blues.

Taylor attended Alabama State University, where he played with the Bama State Collegians. He worked with Scatman Crothers, Cootie Williams, Lucky Millinder, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Buddy Johnson, Louis Jordan, and Big Joe Turner. He was one of the most requested session saxophone players in New York recording studios in the 1950s. Taylor also replaced Count Basie as the house bandleader on Alan Freed's 'Camel Rock 'n Roll Dance Party' radio series over CBS.

Taylor's saxophone solo appeared on Turner's "Shake, Rattle and Roll". He also played on "Money Honey", recorded by Clyde McPhatter with The Drifters in 1953, and on "Sh-Boom" by The Chords.

During the 1960s, he led a five-piece band, the Blues Chasers. In the 1970s, he frequently played and recorded in Japan.

Taylor died in 1990 in Lexington, Tennessee.

Да, согласен... дискография далеко не полная - взят ранний период... даже по японским пластинкам можно добавить с десяток изданий - хотя бы этот 1972 года...

Дмитрий, я вел речь о полноте дискографии Сэма (поскольку в сети не мог найти ничего стоящего - википедия тут бесполезна)... к сожалению, у меня не было в родне дипломатов, чтобы в 70-е годы привезти из Японии эти пластинки, а сейчас это стоит больших денег... :icon_lex:

Искать надо и знать язык

plotnik220, язык - фигня, японских торрентов с собственными оцифровками винила ты не найдёшь.
Это только русские знают слово ХАЛЯВА, остальные же знают, что за всё надо платить.

Единственный выход здесь - это взаимовыгодный приватный файлообмен между заинтересованными пользователями.

Одно лишь упоминание о подобном файлообмене вызывает негодование у всех халявщиков ... безразличных, кому редкая и качественная музыка просто не нужна или они тупо не догоняют, что это такое!
И mp3 нормально и винил за 50-70 $ можно без зазрения совести пережать и обработать в изотопе!
А потом орать по всем уголкам рунета, что так и должно быть!

plotnik220, там где нашёл, набери в поиске Sam Taylor и дай magnet ссылку на нужную нам раздачу.

В том то и дело, что так этого нет, а если и есть что-то, только по инвайтам (приглашениям) и строго ограничено. Зайди на любой HD трекер и посмотри что раздется из lossless и многоканалки.

У нас по сравнению с ними - уникальный контент в виде оцифровок!
